Price Increase on Cenex® Branded Lubricants

Due to the continued impact of escalating raw material costs, over the past two months, CHS Lubricants initiated a price increase on finished Cenex® lubricant products sold on or after August 9, 2021.

As per previous communications, this recent increase amounts to an additional $.80 per gallon on most bulk and packaged SKUs of Cenex lubricants. Chain bar oil only increased by $.40 per gallon. And final pricing for grease and bulk drip oil did not increase.

Additionally, because of downstream price increases on plastic and shipping costs from our third-party testing supplier, the price for LubeScan® Used Oil Analysis ten-pack kits increased to $180 for the standard kit and $275 for the FedEx kits.

Similar to previous price increases, CHS Lubricants has issued a Price Increase Relief Credit (PIRC) for all Cenex Lubricants distributors, to minimize the impact of the increase. As a reminder, the PIRC provides a pre-increase price on lubricant product orders for 15% more than your past fiscal year average monthly wholesale purchase.

The PIRC will be in place from now through September 8, 2021, and will not be extended. To streamline the credit process, the PIRC will be automatically applied to your CHS account, reducing the cost of your future purchases and will appear at the bottom of your invoice on a per-gallon basis, until the credit amount is fully used.

Please contact your district manager with questions regarding your maximum PIRC allocation or this increase.
