Cenex® Hometown Throwdown is back for year two starting on January 7!

The Cenex Hometown Throwdown is a giveback competition, driven by consumers and end users, that highlights one of the unique events that every community has a connection to – its local festival. The competition continues the Cenex tradition of giving back to the communities we call home by awarding $150K to support local festivals.

Consumers can nominate their festival between January 7 – February 7. On May 1, five finalists will be announced, and consumers can vote for the best fest through May 31. The $100K grand prize winner will be announced on June 17 (second place will receive $20K, third place will receive $15K, fourth place will receive $10K and fifth place will receive $5K).

Keep an eye out for a marketing kit that will be mailed to all branded c-store locations in the coming weeks. Each kit contains POP materials for both phases of the contest:

Phase 1 – Call for entries (January 7 – February 7)
Phase 2 – Voting for the best (May 1 – 31)
