Newest Hometown Pride 2.0 Winner Announced

Through our Hometown Pride grant initiative, Cenex® partners with our local retailers, dealers and distributors to support grassroots philanthropic efforts in the Cenex communities where our customers live and work.
After receiving a wide variety of qualified submissions, we’re excited to announce our latest grant winner!
Congratulations to Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports!

The Cenex brand, in partnership with Pinnacle Cooperative in Stanley, N.D., has awarded Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports a $25,000 Hometown Pride grant. The organization was selected for its commitment to building more inclusive communities through its work to help those who are differently abled to participate in sports and recreational activities.
Since its founding in 2016, the Minot-based nonprofit has helped more than 300 children and adults with a wide range of abilities participate in local sports by removing the barriers that can make it difficult to play or actively engage in physical sports within their community.
Through its adaptive activities and programs, the organization has helped participants as young as three years old impacted by cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, Down syndrome, autism, amputations and more to take part in everything from gymnastics, to golf, hunting and more.
As Prairie Grit’s programs continue to grow, so has the need for special equipment that will allow those of different abilities to get in the game. With the help of this grant, Prairie Grit will be able to purchase additional athletic wheelchairs for local participants, lifting a heavy financial burden that can often keep players on the sidelines.
We’re proud to support Prairie Grit and excited to give back to the important work happening in their local Cenex community!
